Would you rather be different a weird outcast? Or would you rather be in the crowd and fit in?

Ive been different all my life and people say its good to be different but I beg to differ. I feel like an outcast in today's world. I don't stand behind anything. I feel everything is a fad. I think its funny that artsy people( who drive hybrids and talk about being liberal, who dress "indie) think they are so different when really they are just victims to an environmentally friendly fad. Emo is different, Gangsta is different, being extreme weird isn't different anymore. Judging by the media its hard to be different. But I find it hard to be normal nowadays. What do you think? Would you rather be different or would you rather fit in?
