Regina Spektor- the meaning of one of her songs?

she might not be writing about herself she uses a reference from boris Pasternak's poem "Febuary take your pen and weep ". maybe it has something to do with that. or maybe shes not a very religious jew though she seems like she the kind of person who would be. it also could be about feelings she had in the past.
