Does Yahoo have recommended mechanics to check out cars pre-purchase?

I live in Maryland and am considering buying a car which is currently in Ft. Lauderdale, where I will be moving in a couple of months. I'd like a mechanic to look at the car before I consider buying it. Any advice would be appreciated.
